Decades of Hospitality In the Berkshires

For over four decades, owner Gary Happ has been operating his businesses in the hospitality industry in Great Barrington. Gary discovered the Berkshires shortly after college when he took his first job at Kolburne School. A few years later, in 1977, he opened his first restaurant in downtown Great Barrington.
In 1995 he partnered with a local home-brewer and opened Barrington Brewery. Since then, the brewery has been a beloved staple in the community.
When the opportunity to purchase the adjacent lot arose, Crissey Farm was born. Gary and Andrew saw a need in the community for a gathering place. It’s namesake, Crissey Farm, was a working dairy farm in the 1800s along Stockbridge Road. Crissey Farm is now an event space where friends, family & businesses can gather and come together. It offers a comfortable setting for a reasonable price. We look forward to hearing more about your event.
